On July 9, 2018, in order to help Ms. Liz Eversoll, CEO of MEEPER Technologies, USA, and Mr. Rohit Khanna, CEO of 3D InfoTech, and other US companies who came to Suzhou better understand the laws and regulations of the Chinese market, and better explore the Chinese market, EcoKMC organized Beijing Longan (Suzhou) Law Firm and IPOPANG Company to give a wonderful training.
Since it is the first time for the US companies coming to China, although they are full of expectations for exploring the Chinese market, they also have many concerns about this unfamiliar market. At first, Mr. Cui Jinwen from Beijing Longan (Suzhou) Law Firm to introduce the laws and regulations system of China. Mr. Cui Jinwen has the doctor degree in law. He has worked as a judge and 10 prosecutors for 10 years. He is currently a lawyer and senior partner of Beijing Longan (Suzhou) Law Firm. He is also a member of the Suzhou Municipal Political Consultative Conference and an arbitrator of the Suzhou Arbitration Commission. His master degree thesis was about the study of the intellectual property compensation system. Dr. Cui Jinwen, on the subject of administrative and judicial protection of intellectual property rights in China, elaborated on three aspects: first, customs protection in administrative protection, second, criminal law protection, and third, judicial system.
Then, the team of the IPOPANG law firm also analyzed the differences in intellectual property rights between China and the United States and explained in different cases vividly.
The interaction on the spot was positive and the atmosphere was warm. Every American company asked questions about their most concerned issues and got a satisfactory answer. After the meeting, everyone felt like they saw the clouds and saw a lot of gains. I am full of confidence in opening up the Chinese market.
